Frequently asked questions

What is Roam?

Roam is a free-to-play outdoor adventure. Find Creets in the real world, beat quick challenges to catch them, then walk with your favorite to unlock new moves and evolutions.

How do I catch a Creet?

Dots on the map hide wild Creets. Walk within 33 feet of a dot to start an encounter, then beat the quick challenges to fill the capture bar.

Where does Roam work?

Roam is fully live in New England, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and partially live in other states. Want a spot added or removed? Email roam@stonkd.com.

How does walking help?

Your companion Creet earns XP and you earn Adventure Bucks as you walk. Only walking speed counts (up to 4 mph), so driving or riding doesn't.

What are Adventure Bucks for?

Spend them in the Shop on accessories, elemental frames, health potions and Awakenings.

How do battles work?

Battle the computer, friends (using their 8-digit ID), Ranked players, Library Keepers, or team up in co-op boss raids. Each turn has a 20-second timer, and the Basic Attack is always available.

What are Library Keepers?

Green dots on the map are Keepers at public libraries. Beat them on site to earn XP, Bucks and a badge.

How do I heal my Creets?

Use health potions from the Creet's page, or during a battle by tapping your Creet.

What is Roam Plus?

An optional subscription with unlimited Creet slots, +10% Adventure Bucks, +5% walking XP and 250 Bucks when you join and each month. See Pricing for details.

Is Roam safe for kids?

Players under 13 need a parent's permission before playing. Always play with awareness of your surroundings, stay on sidewalks and paths, and never enter private property.
