Stonkd Inc. ("STONKD," "we," "our," or "us") operates Roam and is the controller of the personal information described here. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information when you access or use Roam, our website at goplayroam.com, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

• Account information: an app-generated account identifier and private credential used to save progress, and an optional backup email address provided by a parent or adult.
• Player information: the player's entered age (used only to choose math difficulty). We do not ask for a child's real name, birth date, home address, school, photo or email.
• Gameplay data: Creets, levels, XP, journal entries, Bucks, items, walking distance, and battle results.
• Location: while the game is open and location is on, precise location is used to find nearby encounters, check walking speed, and confirm library and battle proximity. We do not keep a GPS history.
• Permission records: the adult's acceptance of this policy and our Terms.
• Usage and device data: IP address, browser type, device and operating system information needed to run and protect the Platform.
• Payment information: for Roam Plus, the paying adult's name, email, and billing details are collected and processed by Paddle, not stored by us.

How we use information

• Provide and operate the Platform and its features (legal basis: performance of our contract with you).
• Process Roam Plus subscriptions and payments (contract).
• Respond to support requests and send service messages, such as backup email confirmations (contract).
• Enforce our Terms & Conditions, prevent fraud and cheating, and keep the Platform secure (legitimate interests).
• Meet legal obligations (legal obligation).

We do not sell personal information, show behavioral advertising, or send marketing to children.

How we share information

We share information only with the following, and only for the purposes described:

• Hosting and database provider: stores account identifiers, game progress, permission records, and any backup email so the game can run.
• Google Maps (Google LLC): receives the device's location and network data to display the map while it is open.
• Paddle (Paddle.com): our online reseller and Merchant of Record, which receives the paying adult's name, email, payment, and billing details to process Roam Plus subscriptions, taxes, and invoices. Children's information is never sent to Paddle.
• Professional advisers: such as lawyers and accountants, where needed.
• Legal requirements: when required by law, court order, or government regulation.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Other players in a battle see only the battle number, Creet, level, and battle actions. There are no public profiles or chat.

Data retention

We keep account and game information until a parent, guardian, or account holder asks us to delete it by emailing info@stonkd.com. We then delete or anonymize it, except records we are legally required to keep (such as payment and tax records held by Paddle).

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to safeguard your information. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection from unauthorized access.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your data, and to withdraw consent. Parents and guardians may review or delete their child's information at any time by contacting info@stonkd.com.

Children

Roam may be played by children with a parent's or adult's permission. We collect only the information needed to run the game, do not ask children for contact details, and require an adult to accept this policy before play. If we learn we have collected information without that permission, we will promptly delete it.

Cookies

We use only essential browser storage needed to keep you signed in and save game settings. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

International transfers

If you access the Platform outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. We ensure such transfers comply with applicable regulations.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
